Melaleuca is also known as tea tree oil. It is antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral-therefore it is an excellent antiseptic choice for cuts or burns. It is great for skin and hair problems including acne and dandruff. A few drops added to your shampoo should help with the dandruff, and it can be applied undiluted to any blemishes on the face, neck or back. It can be mixed with coconut oil and spread all over face for a less-concentrated treatment. Melaleuca is effective at treating gum and periodontal disease as well. It can be applied directly to gums, or gargled to disinfect the whole mouth. You could even place a drop in your toothbrush for daily treatment.
